Home Based Treatments

Our professional therapists bring their clinic to you!! The RMT will arrive at your home with a portable massage table, clean linens, pillows and a cozy blanket, massage oils, and a heating pad. This is everything needed to provide you with a therapeutic, relaxing massage treatment in your home. The only thing you need to provide is the minimum of 7 ft. by 4 ft space that is required for us to work in.

Hospital Visits Available

Massage Therapy can provide care on many different levels for those spending time in hospital. We provide care for pre and post natal clients, those suffering from muscle aches and stiffness associated with immobilization, and many people with chronic illnesses and neurological conditions. Massage Therapy helps to improve circulation, therefore decreasing muscle pain and stiffness and decreasing potential for formation of bedsores. The clients we visit in the hospital report that the hands-on approach of our caring therapists provides them with relaxation, increased comfort levels, and emotional support. To make this beneficial treatment as accessible as possible to those who need it the most, we provide a discounted rate for hospital visits.

Group/Special Event Packages

We can accommodate groups, such as wedding parties, seminars or meetings, and any group event. The group packages involve shorter duration treatments to ensure everyone gets their turn.

Alternative Routes provides gift certificates so that you can share the experience of massage therapy home care with your friends, relatives and colleagues. What a great gift! Help them relax, decrease muscular aches and pains, feel good mentally and physically, and make a positive effect on their health.

Workshops and Speaking at Events/Groups

We love to talk about Massage Therapy and its benefits!! If you require a guest speaker for a special interest group, special event, or meeting, we are always ready to speak. This could also include some instruction on some basic massage techniques, how to prevent repetitive strain injuries, and/or stress reduction techniques for the over-stressed . We will also organize a workshop for a group of six or more people, to learn basic massage techniques to use at home, and also for infant massage instruction. (see infant massage under THERAPIES)

Basic Massage Techniques Workshops

This is a 3-hour workshop, which teaches some great techniques that everyone can benefit from. This workshop is ideal for couples, caregivers, parents, those caring for an elderly parent, those caring for disabled persons, and anyone who wants to learn some easy, effective massage techniques. We will gear the workshop towards the specific needs of the people in the class.

Infant Massage Instruction Workshops

This workshop is extremely beneficial for parents and caregivers. These invaluable tools can assist in bonding with the infant, soothing an upset infant, and relieving gas and colic naturally! Many fathers have reported that infant massage really helped in their bonding with their newborns, and older siblings can also get involved.
